I am a Senior Lecturer in Genetic Epidemiology at the University of Liverpool. I read Psychology at Birkbeck and then obtained a master's degree (MS.c.) in Research Methods in Psychology at Goldsmiths, University of London. During both of these degrees I realised that, alongside my passion for psychology, I developed an avid interest in genetics and health. Due to my solid statistics background, particularly aided by my MS.c. course, I was able to secure a place at UCL for a funded PhD in Genetic Epidemiology, which I completed in 2018. I joined the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics at University of Liverpool in May 2024, and I also work as a private tutor, as I really enjoy teaching and have 13+ years' experience as a tutor and lecturer.
My previous teaching experience is diverse, given that I have worked both as a private tutor and at universities. I have given lectures, tutorials, seminars and practical sessions to undergraduate and postgraduate students. I also have experience preparing materials for students, as well as marking work.
