I like to use practical examples as I am a practical thinker. I use lots of examples from sports, or weight lifting as I enjoy these. I am an experienced martial artist and a I frequently go to the gym, so I tend to work in examples from these topics into my tutorials. Also, I am a retired gamer so I tend to talk about games like Call of duty and Fallout a lot. For those of my students who are worthy, I will enlighten them about the old school games.
I estimate I have at least 6000 hours of experience, having been a tutor since 2011. I initially started teaching Maths and Physics to Engineering students at University and I gradually expanded into secondary school level tuition. I have worked full time as a tutor since 2012 and during that time I have taught Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Engineering.
I have taught A Levels, IGCSE/GCSE, IB, Pre-U, AP and I have covered nearly every exam board including Edexcel, OCR, AQA, WJEC. All of my students are seeking to get into top Univeristies.
What makes me a good tutor is my ability to break down a subject and cover it in a particular order so that a student who might not have a good understanding can understand how to progress through the topics. It doesn't hurt that I have a sense of humour and make my lessons actually fun and enjoyable.
I teach all areas of Physics found in schools. I am familiar with all the options unit available for the IB, including Engineering, Modern Physics and Imaging. For Maths, I can teach pure Mathematics, Statistics and Mechanics, however I do not teach any Decision/Discrete Mathematics
At the Undergraduate level I teach Maths for first and second year students. This includes Matrices, 1st and 2nd order Differential Equations, Differentiation, Integration, Vector Calculus, Multi variable calculus, and a few other topics if I am familiar. I also teach areas Physics including Mechanics, Thermal Physics, Electricity and Magnetism, Optics, Waves, Introductory Electronics and Quantum and Nuclear Physics.
Great first session!

You are great
Thank you, I enjoyed your explanation of refractive indices
I was cramming for my pure maths exam at university level when I first contacted Shahid and I was working fulltime while studying. I had two weeks to learn and revise and broad range of lectures, Shahid calmly helped me to cover the main sections to prepare me for the exam within 2 weeks, where most other tutors may have turned me away. He was very good, I would not have passed without his help. I highly recommend him. - Daisy
An excellent tutor. Would definently recommend him. He has been tutoring me A level Physics and has the ability to summarise a whole module in one lesson and can make it very easy to understand. I am confident of achieving a top grade if i continue with him - Ahmad
Shahid is very patient and thorough. - Meredith
Shahid is tutoring my son, and I am extremely pleased with his teaching. I would highly recommend him. - Hasnat
Shahid has been very helpful in tutoring our daughter in Physics. He is responsible, on time, and has been able to connect with our daughter in a positive way, which has helped the learning process. We have never had a problem scheduling times to meet, as he has been very flexible in coordinating appointments. I would highly recommend him. - Jennifer
